U.S. Card

The Audi quattro IMSA GTO was introduced in 1989 and developed for the IMSA GTO (International Motor Sports Association Grand Touring) racing series.

This racing version of the Audi 90 Quattro was significantly different from its road-going counterpart, featuring extensive modifications to enhance its performance on the track.

International Card

It utilized the iconic quattro all-wheel-drive system giving the car superior traction and handling.

To enhance performance, the GTO featured a carbon-composite body and careful weight placement of the mandatory ballast.

Short Card

The GTO was powered by a 2.2-liter, inline-five-cylinder engine equipped with a massive KKK turbocharger, producing around 720 horsepower.

The Audi quattro IMSA GTO had a slow start and missed the first two races of the 1989 season due to problems testing and modifying the engine.
