The 2007 Honda Civic Type R is part of the eighth-generation Civic, produced from 2007 to 2010. While most global markets received the hatchback-style FN2 Type R, the FD2 was the first Civic Type R sold exclusively as a four-door sedan for the Japanese market.

It was powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter K20A inline-four engine with VTEC, producing 222 horsepower and revving to 8,000 rpm. The FD2 featured a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, a helical limited-slip differential, and Brembo front brakes. It had a 0 to 60 mph time of around 6.1 seconds and a top speed near 149 mph.

A total of 14,062 FD2 Civic Type R units were produced.

The Mazda RX-3 Wagon was built by Mazda from 1971 to 1978 as part of the first generation of RX-3 models. It was sold as the Savanna in Japan and became the world’s first rotary-engine station wagon.

Mazda introduced the RX-3 Wagon in the U.S. around 1972, sold it there until about 1976, and kept it in production in Japan until 1977 before replacing it with the larger RX-4 wagon.

Mazda built around 287,000 RX-3s in total, but the wagons were a small portion and are hard to find today.
