Car Culture vehicles are metal/metal with premium details and Real Rider wheels. Mountain Drifters is in mix "A" of assortment FPY86 and ships in 10-count cases. A case should include 2 of each vehicle unless one has been replaced by a chase.
The 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III is the third generation of Mitsubishi's rally-inspired performance sedan. Introduced in 1995, it received a larger front bumper with bigger air intakes, side skirts, and a large rear spoiler that increased downforce and helped cool the engine and brakes.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 270 PS, or about 266 horsepower. The Evolution III uses a five-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive, with much of its development tied to Mitsubishi's World Rally Championship program.
The Evolution III made its World Rally Championship debut in 1995 and earned its first victory that year. In 1996, Tommi Mäkinen drove one to five victories on his way to his first WRC drivers' championship.
The Evolution III also appears in Initial D, a Japanese street racing manga that debuted in 1995 and later expanded into anime, movies, and video games. A black Evolution III GSR is driven by Kyoichi Sudo, the leader of Team Emperor and the first driver to defeat the main character, Takumi Fujiwara, in a race.
This is the second release of the LB-Kaido Works Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R. The casting debuted in the 2026 Car Culture: Aerostyles series, and the chase version below is its third release.
This is only the second version of the Toyota Stout Drift Truck and its first release on a blister card. It debuted in the 2024 Vintage Race Team diorama box set.
Car Culture chase cars return to their original format for 2027, once again featuring an all-black version of a car in the set.
Not a bad start for 2027. I'm sure several of these will be popular, but the Stout is the one I'll be keeping an eye out for.
