New Castings

The Ferrari F2004 was a Formula One race car used by Scuderia Ferrari during the 2004 season. It was driven by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello.

Power came from a 3.0-liter V10 engine producing close to 900 horsepower and revving to about 19,000 RPM. The car was known for strong reliability, a high top speed, and consistent performance across different tracks.

The F2004 won 15 of 18 races in 2004 and helped Ferrari secure both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships, with Schumacher taking his seventh world title. It also set lap records at several tracks that lasted for more than a decade, showing how fast the car was compared to others of its time.

The 2019 Audi TT Safari is a one-off concept built by a team of Audi apprentices for the 2019 Wörthersee GTI event. Based on the Audi TT RS, the build features a lifted suspension, bolt-on fender flares, skid plates, all-terrain tires, rally-style LED driving lights, and a custom rear rack that replaces the back window and carries two full-size spare tires.

Power comes from Audi's turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-5 engine producing about 400 hp, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. The concept reimagines the TT RS as an off-road sports car inspired by Audi's rally heritage and Safari-style builds.

Salt Streaker is an original Hot Wheels casting designed as a futuristic belly tank lakester.

Belly tank lakesters first appeared after World War II when hot rodder Bill Burke built the first one using a surplus aircraft drop tank. The streamlined fuel tanks, often from Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighter planes, were mounted to lightweight chassis with exposed wheels and powerful V8 engines to create cars built for straight-line speed.

Belly tank lakesters became popular at Southern California dry lake beds and the Bonneville Salt Flats, where reducing air resistance was critical for setting land speed records. Their streamlined shape helped them reach higher speeds than many other race cars.

The Ford Galaxie was part of Ford's full-size lineup during the 1960s. The 1963 model featured updated styling with a longer, lower look and was offered as a sedan, hardtop, convertible, and station wagon. Midway through the model year, Ford introduced the 1963½ SportsRoof fastback with a more aerodynamic roofline for NASCAR competition.

Engine choices ranged from an inline-6 to several V8 options, including the R-Code 427 cubic-inch V8 rated at 425 hp. The combination of the new fastback body and powerful 427 engine helped Ford earn a 1-2 finish at the 1963 Daytona 500.

The 1963 Galaxie was available as both a comfortable family car and a high-performance muscle car. Today, it remains popular for restorations, custom builds, and vintage racing.
