The Porsche 906 Carrera 6 was a lightweight mid-engine race car introduced for endurance racing. It made a strong showing at the 1966 24 Hours of Daytona by winning its class and finishing sixth overall. Porsche built only 65 cars, enough to meet FIA racing rules that required at least 50 production models.

The 906 first appeared in the video game Forza Motorsport 7. The Forza series began in 2005 with Forza Motorsport and later expanded into two styles of games: the track-focused Forza Motorsport series and the open-world Forza Horizon series.

This is only the second release of the '66 Porsche 906 Carrera 6. It made its Hot Wheels debut in the 2024 Car Culture: Team Transport #66.

This all-new Hot Wheels casting is based on the 1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer driven by Chief Jim Hopper in Stranger Things. In the show, the Blazer is used as a Hawkins Police Department vehicle as Hopper investigates strange events connected to the Upside Down throughout the series’ 1980s setting.

The 1985 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was a full-size SUV built on Chevrolet’s C/K pickup truck platform. Its truck-based design, solid axles, and high ground clearance helped make it one of Chevrolet’s best-known SUVs before it was replaced by the Tahoe in the 1990s.

Guinevere is the beat-up dark blue van driven by Barley Lightfoot in Onward. The van is covered with fantasy-style artwork, including a large Pegasus graphic named Valkyrie on the side, matching Barley’s love of fantasy games and adventure stories.

In the movie, Guinevere is used by Barley and Ian during a road trip quest to magically bring back their father for one day. The van becomes an important part of the adventure, especially when Barley sacrifices it to block a police pursuit and help complete the quest.

This Hot Wheels release is nearly identical to the one from the 2022 Replica Entertainment series.

The Pizza Planet Truck appears in Toy Story as the delivery vehicle for the Pizza Planet restaurant. The worn yellow pickup truck became one of Pixar’s most recognizable vehicles after Buzz and Woody use it during their attempt to return home.

In The Good Dinosaur, the Pizza Planet Truck first appears as an asteroid during the opening space sequence and later as a rock formation hidden in the landscape. Since first appearing in Toy Story, the pickup truck has made cameo appearances in almost every Pixar film.

The Simpsons debuted in 1989 and became one of the longest-running television series in history. The show’s family car is Homer Simpson’s worn pink sedan, known for its bent radio antenna and damaged front fender that never seems to get repaired.

For many years, the car did not have an official name or model. In the 2017 episode “Pork and Burns,” the sedan was identified as a fictional 1986 Plymouth Junkerolla that was supposedly built in Croatia using old Soviet tanks.

This Hot Wheels release is nearly identical to the one from the 2018 Replica Entertainment series.
